Chester Bowl OPEN Sunday 3/12 for Powder Day and Media Event

Nature is giving us a treat on closing day! It is rare to have a powder day in Duluth, much less on our closing day for the season, so if you can safely make it out here, it will be incredible.

We also are moving forward with our Growing Up Chester capital campaign media and supporter event at 11am. You can find out much more about the campaign to renovate and expand the Thom Storm Chalet at www.growingupchester.org.

Skyline and the park entrance road are both cleared and very passable. Please make smart choices about whether you can safely make it here today, but if you can, it will be incredible!

Final Days Saturday and Sunday 3/11 & 3/12

Chester Bowl’s final day of the winter season will be on our scheduled close date, Sunday, March 12.

While we are sometimes able to extend our season, we are excited about the reason we can’t this year.

As you likely know, we have had some significant chairlift issues for the last few years. Many of them have been from the electrical system, which is original to the chairlift. This offseason, we are entirely replacing that electrical system! The crew comes in to begin the work the week of March 20, but we need this next week to prep for that work.

So get some final turns in between now and Sunday, and then look forward to a winter with less disruptions next year!

Winter Carnival Saturday, March 4

Chester Bowl’s winter carnival is Saturday, March 4th, from 1-4pm. The event includes hayrides, a mini-snowmobile course, and lots of fun games and activities! The carnival is free to attend. A day or season pass is required to use the chairlift.
