RENTALS
Chester does not provide daily ski or snowboard rentals. Instead, we rent gear for the entire season! Our rental gear is distributed at fittings in October or November (or later if available) and stays with you until early April. Use it at Chester Bowl or any other hill. All renters must purchase a Chester Bowl season pass—no exceptions.
Renters will register and those who are new to the program or completed their volunteer commitment last season will be emailed access to appointment scheduling at noon on October 23. Renters who didn’t complete their volunteer commitment or returned their gear late last season will get the same email on October 26 at noon. Renters then show up to their appointment, get fit for gear, and take it home with them.
Each family pays a volunteer deposit and completes 6 or 12 volunteer hours (based on rental amount and family size). Finish your hours and return gear on time in April to get your deposit back and early sign up for next season’s fittings.
We have a wide selection of ski and snowboard equipment to fit youth as young as 4 years old and adult equipment. Ski boots start at toddler 8, skis at 80cm (best for most 4‑year‑olds). Snowboard boots start at junior 11, boards at 90cm. If your child wears a shoe smaller than toddler 8, we recommend waiting a year to avoid injury risk. SCHOLARSHIPS
We keep prices as affordable as possible, but we know costs can still be a barrier. Our winter scholarship program supports lower-income families. Scholarships are requested during registration. You’ll need your family size, annual income, and the number of season passes and rentals needed. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their award amount by 5pm October 22.
