We hope you join us for our 37th Annual Fall Fest, held on Saturday, September 17th, 2022, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. Our rain date, if needed, is 9/18/22.
As in 2021 Fall Fest is returning again in 2022 as a full capacity event. We are confident that we will be able to operate a safe event. It is too early to know exactly what modifications we may need to make, if any, for COVID; we ask for your help by following our pandemic plan, which can be found at this link, and will be updated as we get closer to the event.
INFORMATION FOR VISITORS:
Fall Fest is all about building community with friends and neighbors in the park! At this regional craft event you will enjoy music, food, crafts, locally grown fresh produce, vendors, and informational booths about local programs. The annual event has grown over the years and will host over 130 vendors selling locally made crafts, a great line up of music, 8 food vendors, and activities for children and families. In addition, Chester Bowl branded clothing and other items will be sold by the Chester Bowl Improvement Club. We will have many new products again for 2022, so you will want to get to the CBIC table early to buy our new gear!
Suggested donations of $5 per person or $10 per family will be accepted at the entrance to support Chester winter program scholarships for kids in need who want to participate in winter sports. Donations in 2021 totaled a record $12,192- thank you so much for your support! We would love to break the record again, and ensure that every family can participate in our programs regardless of income!
There will be live music all day on our stage, with music starting at 10, 12, and 2. Check back closer to the event for a listing of scheduled musicians.
Free Shuttle Service:
All visitors are highly encouraged to use the three free shuttle buses that will run continuously from the University of Minnesota Duluth parking lot B, located at the intersection of College St. and University Drive. Parking is very limited near the event, so walking, biking (bike racks near the entrance), or using the shuttles is highly recommended. There are a limited number of handicapped accessible parking spots near the entrance to the park.
This annual event is sponsored by the Chester Bowl Improvement Club, the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Department, Kat Country 98.9, My 95.7, 95 KQDS, and KDAL 610 A.M.
INFORMATION FOR VENDORS:
Fall Fest is a one day event that brings 7,500-10,000 visitors into the park. Please note that vendors are required to be available both for the scheduled date of Saturday, September 17th, as well as for the rain date of Sunday, September 18th, if needed. Our event is billed as a regional craft festival; vendors are expected to be selling items that are hand-made or home-grown, not mass produced. Full criteria and expectations are contained in the application.
Vendors that participated in 2021 will be mailed 2022 registration forms on or around February 1st. Please contact email@example.com after February 11 if you did not get the forms (allowing time for the mail to arrive). Returning vendors have until May 1st to submit their full paperwork and payment by cash or check to reserve their same spot if desired. Requests for the same spot will be honored after this date to the best of our ability if your spot has not already been re-assigned to a new vendor. Returning vendors can also request a new spot; your location would not be assigned until after May 1 to allow all returning vendors to re-claim their space.
Registration for new vendors will open on May 9, We will post the registration forms here on the web site on that date.
There are three types of registration, each with its own registration form- Craft vendors, Informational, educational, or political organizations, Food vendors (prepared food; preserves and similar would be considered a craft vendor). Please be sure to fill out the correct form.
Each 10×10 booth costs $100, and vendors can purchase more than one booth. A 20×10 food costs $200.
Please fill out the application form and the ST19 form, and return them to Chester Bowl by mail with your check to secure your spot. Fall Fest vendor spots have traditionally filled in late July. All registration forms are processed in the order in which they are received. Register early to ensure your spot!
