Liability Information

Lift Pass Agreement
This statement applies to all Chester Bowl Park lift pass users, whether alpine skiers, Nordic skiers, snowboarders, or users of any other “skiing equipment” permitted at the area. The purchaser and/or user of a pass agrees and understands that such activities can be hazardous and assumes all risks of personal injury, or loss of, or damage to property; both personal and that of others. Trail conditions vary constantly because of weather changes and skiers use. Ice, variations in terrain, moguls, terrain-park features, forest growth, rocks and debris, lift towers and other obstacles and hazards, including other skiers, exist throughout the area. Be aware that snowmaking and snow grooming may be in progress. Always ski in control and stay clear of this equipment. By using a pass and skiing at Chester Bowl Park, such dangers are recognized and accepted. A pass may be revoked without refund at any time for violation of management rules or for misconduct or nuisance caused by the user. A pass must be visible at all times and attached to permanent clothing.

Lesson Participation Agreement
All participants in Chester Bowl Improvement Club lessons must hold a valid lift pass, regardless of the type of skiing equipment taught, level of instruction, or participant/instructor ratio. Participants, and, in the case of minors, their legal guardians, understand and accept the above
agreement with respect to the inherent hazards of skiing and the assumption of risks. All lesson participants, regardless of age, are required to wear helmets, and understand that helmets reduce the risk or degree of injuries, but are no guarantee of safety. Participants understand that proper
instruction can increase control and thereby reduce the risks of skiing, but cannot eliminate them. Participants understand that the Chester Bowl Improvement Club and its instructors make reasonable efforts to provide the instruction in a manner and environment that is conducive of learning the skills being taught while reducing the risks, but cannot guarantee absolute safety. Participants, and, in the case of minors, their legal guardians, release the Chester Bowl Improvement Club and its instructors from any liability for personal injury, or loss of, or damage to property, both personal and that of others, and assume full responsibility for any and all such damage or injury.
