Chester Bowl Adventure Day Camp 2013
Open to ages 6-14
Participant limit: 50 children each day, except except 48 for major field trips.
Registration Fee:
One child is $25.00. $25.00 refund with 6 volunteer hours.
Two or more is $50.00. $50 refund with 12 volunteer hours.
If children only want attend the Minnesota Twins game, Wild Mountain or Valleyfair trips, no registration fee is necessary. However, priority on these three trips will be given to children that are registered in the program.
Fees: The daily fee is $18.50 for an 8-hour day. The Twins game, Wild Mountain & Valleyfair are a higher fee. We have set fees so that we can cover the costs of staffing, insurance, supplies & field trips.
Our schedule is subject to change due to weather (example-not going to Park Point to go swimming if it is raining) or to take advantage of opportunities that might become available.

Parent Volunteer Opportunities:
Snack Volunteers: 5 dozen items = 3 volunteer hours. Snacks must be at the chalet by 9a.m. each day. A snack calendar will be available on Jooners. We would like a minimum of one snack for each of the 29 days.
Homemade snacks happily accepted.
Chester Creek Concert Volunteers: Tuesday nights, June 4 to August 6, 6:30-9p.m. = 2.5 volunteer hours. Volunteers will help park cars, supervise the playground & clean up after the shows. This is very social & fun experience.
An on-line volunteer calendar will be available in mid March. E-mail will announce when it is ready.
In addition to parent volunteers, there also will be up to 5 Incredible Exchange (teenage) volunteers/day.
Last summer every day sold out.

Tuesday June 11, (9 am – 5 pm)
Get acquainted games.
Kickball, dodgeball, and other field games.
Camp fire to roast hot dogs and marshmallows.
Ice cream sundae party-bring toppings to share!
Day # 2
Wednesday June 12, (9 am – 5 pm)
Kickball and a hike in Chester Park
Make “pet water bottles”- bring your water
bottle!
Egg toss, supersoaker and whipped cream fight!

Thursday June 13, (9 am – 5 pm)
Hike to UMD for planetarium show at 11am
World Cup Soccer and other field games
Day # 4
Tuesday June 18, (9 am – 5 pm)
Sports jersey day- wear your favorite teams’ jersey!
Hike to Tweed Art Museum for tour at 11am
Gaga and other field games.
Day # 5
Wednesday June 19, (9 am – 5 pm)
Hike in ravine to 4th St, picnic on the rocks & back.
Make milk carton boats float them down the creek.
Bring milk cartons, & water shoes.
Day # 6
Thursday June 20, 79 am – 7:30 pm)
Twins vs. White Sox at Target field!
Depart from Chester Bowl at 7am.
Stop in Sturgeon Lake for rest break.
Enjoy the Twins game.
Stop at Mcdonalds on the way home.
Return at 7:30pm

Tuesday June 25, (9 am – 5 pm)
Hike down to Chester Creek to Lakewalk then to Canal Park
Skip rocks in the lake, build carnes, and hike to the end
of the pier.
Dairy Queen on the way back – bring money for treats.

Face painting!
Build forts in Chester Park.
Paper airplane flying contest!
Swim at Big 12.
Capture the flag!
