Chester Park Mini-Master Plan working session

As part of the recently passed parks referendum, there are now funds to do improvements to city parks. Chester Bowl has been chosen one of the first parks to receive these funds.

The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation is holding a working session for the Chester Park Mini Master Plan on May 23rd from 11am to 6pm at the chalet. Please drop in at any time during the day to discuss ideas for how the park could be improved.

There are also surveys available in the chalet that the City is using to gather public input. Please fill one out so that your voice is heard on how the park could better serve the community.

CBIC’s annual membership meeting

The Chester Bowl Improvement Club’s annual membership meeting will be held Monday May 14th at 6.00pm in the chalet. At the meeting, the Board of Directors will present the CBIC’s annual report, reviewing CBIC activities this past year, including the significant challenges and accomplishments, as well as giving a financial summary of CBIC’s accounts. Members will then have an opportunity to discuss CBIC’s direction for the coming year, as well as elect new Directors to the Board. Please attend if you are interested in seeing great programs continue at Chester Bowl.

The unstoppable flow of Chester Creek, warm temps and rain in the forecast have all conspired to make Sunday, March 11 the last day of the 2011-2012 Ski Season. Thanks to everyone who made it a great one. See you at the banquet on Friday, March 30.

All Star Photo Race
Saturday, December 31, 2011, 1:15pm start, two runs, best combined time
Pre-registration Friday, Dec. 30, 2:30-4:30pm in the ski garge
Saturday registration 11:15-12:30 sharp. No late registrations.
Cost- One time fee of $10/racer or $20/family, good for all 6 races.
Free lunch for all racers.
Awards-Ron Hanger, from All Star Photo, will be taking photos of all racers in front of the chalet from Noon-1pm sharp. All racers will receive a photo button in January.

We still need lots of volunteers to help put on the race. If you can help out, please show up at the chalet at 12:45 tomorrow.
