2013 Chester Ski Banquet

FRIDAY, MARCH 22, 6PM, DENFELD HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIA

All Skiers & their families are invited to attend our annual banquet, featuring spaghetti, bread sticks, tossed salad & desserts. Awards will be given to all skiers, regardless of how they placed this season. Cost is $7/each, with children 5 & under free. The family rate is $25 if paid by Friday, March 14, at 8:30 PM After that, it will be $8/each & $30/family until the Tuesday, March 20th 7:30 PM deadline. Reservations must be paid for in advance, as we will be charged for the number of people we tell the food service staff are attending.

Saturday, Feb. 23
1-4pm Annual Winter Carnival featuring hayrides, mini snowmobile rides, limbo on skis, carnival games, uphill ski race, egg toss, tug-of-war and more!

Mont Du Lac Alpine Race

Our good friends at Mont Du Lac are hosting a race, February 23rd.

Revised Opening Date

The chairlift will open for the season on THURSDAY, DEC. 20th, from 4:30-8:30. We lost 8 potential days of snowmaking last week when we had above freezing temperatures. We are currently making as much snow as possible, to have a good base by opening day.

Non-Skier Lesson Participants-
Now that we have snow on the ground, it will help non-skiers get adjusted to having boots & skis on, if they can walk around outdoors with their skis on. This will help them be ready for lessons when they start on Dec. 26.

New Programs-
Beginning on Monday, January 7th, we will offer free TELEMARK skiing lessons, by Al Hagen, and SNOWBOARDING lessons by Sam Luoma.  Bring your equipment and learn from our experts!  More details will be announced later.  Free!

Ski Race Sponsor-
There is an opening for a ski race sponsor for the March 3rd race.  Please call or email Thom Storm if you would like more details.

It’s Over.

The unstoppable flow of Chester Creek, warm temps and rain in the forecast have all conspired to make Sunday, March 11 the last day of the 2011-2012 Ski Season. Thanks to everyone who made it a great one. See you at the banquet on Friday, March 30.
